Growy and the Lost Little Star

Type a name and it appears in the story. Stays on this device only.

Hi, little one. One evening, you and Growy notice something glowing softly in the tall grass. It is a tiny star, fallen from the sky, blinking sadly. 'I lost my way home,' it whispers. You and Growy decide to help.

Off you go on a little adventure. You follow a trail of silver sparkles across the meadow, past a sleepy pond where frogs blink up at you, and under a tree whose leaves shimmer like coins.

The path splits in two. Which way? Growy points left, sure as anything. But the little star gives a gentle glow toward the hill on the right. You trust the star, take Growy's paw, and climb up the soft grassy slope, higher and higher toward the open sky. 'Good call,' whispers Growy.

At the top, the wind is cool and the whole sky spreads out above you, full of twinkling friends. But the little star feels shy. 'What if I am too small to shine up there?' it worries.

You cup the star gently and lift it high. Growy says, 'Even the smallest light can find its way home, and helping it shine feels wonderful.' The star floats up, up, and pops into place with a happy twinkle. And look, it has left one tiny sparkle glowing on your palm, just for you.

All the way home, the little star winks down at you, brighter than before. Growy smiles and asks, 'So, little one... did we grow a little today?' You did. 'Here is your little grow for tomorrow,' says Growy. 'Tonight, look up and find the tiniest star of all, then give it a little wave.' See you tomorrow, little one.

👪For you

Adventure stories let children rehearse courage, problem solving, and empathy from the safety of your lap. When you read one, you can pause to wonder aloud together ("which way would you go?"), which turns listening into thinking. Stories where a small character helps someone else quietly teach that kindness and being little are not opposites, and that everyone, however small, has something to offer.

🎨Try this

⭐ Go on a mini indoor adventure. Hide a small "lost star" (a paper star or a toy) and leave a trail of clues or sparkly bits for your child to follow to rescue it. Following a trail to help someone turns a simple hunt into a heroic little quest.
